Dillon was excited for Halloween this year as he knew he'd get to go trick-or-treating for candy. He really wanted to fill his Mr. Jack'o lantern! Here are some pictures of our cute little guys.
Had Jason's 6 month pictures done and had to have one done in his Halloween costume, so cute!
Hard to get a picture of both of them looking at the same time!
As you can see we started out when it was still light out!
We saw Lucy and Chloe along the way.
Using his new flash light (up in the air of course).
Getting some candy....more candy...and some more candy...
We finally made it to the pumpkin patch this week. Timing wasn't good this year with stuff going on and the rain, but we finally made this week....but should have gone sooner as there weren't many pumpkins left. Dillon didn't care he liked looked at the rotting pumpkins much better.
It was chilly, had to break out the hat!
"Look at this one Gram!"
Our big pumpkin
Silly boys
Painting and carving the pumpkins.
The finished products. (Dillon's is painted by him on the backside.)
Last week Aunt Priscilla and Uncle Mike took all of us to the Seattle Aquarium. We rode the ferry over, Jason's first ride, and met them at the aquarium. The after we were done looking at all the fish, which with Dillon happens very fast, we all had lunch. It was fun to spend the morning with them and we all had a great time. Thank you Aunt Priscilla and Uncle Mike!
Ferry ride over.
The boys ended up matching, but it was totally a subconscience thing!
When we got to the aquarium there was a diver in the huge tank in the lobby. It was hard to get Dillon to stand still for a picture, but he says it was his favorite part.
Looking at the touch tanks with Aunt Priscilla.
Jason was interested in the fish tanks too.
Taking a break and having a snack.
At least he didn't try to climb in!!
Listening to Aunt Priscilla.
Of course Aunt Priscilla needed some Jason time too!
Jason can sit now! He sits for a few moments and then usually topples over.
Dillon is loving the huge piles of dirt to slide down. He had dirt everywhere and I mean everywhere!!! He wasn't too sure about having dirt in his underwear for the first time. Somehow a little boy picking at his bottom is cute!
Jason has become really interested in faces and likes an up-close look.
Trying apple juice...again made a sour face. Maybe he just doesn't like apples?!
Now that Jason is mobile he doesn't have to just sleep on his back anymore if he doens't want to.
Our driveway, but what a wall it is!! Art has finished 99% of the wall that follows our driveway. Thanks Craig for your help! All that is needed to finish it is a cap stone that goes on top of the top layer of stones. But we are waiting until we've finished leveling out the yard and putting in more dirt before we (or he) do that. Next up is the wall on the north side of the yard, but I think Art is giving his hands a break for a bit.
Everyone has been stopping to tell us how much they like the wall. Art's even gotten a few offers for other wall projects! :)
The steps! These were a bit tricky but they truned out great, they are even lit! Bet you can't see the lights can you?!
There is a light on the middle left and on and upper right of the steps. Love the lights!
Dillon is helping I am sure!
Doesn't Art look happy?!
Now Dillon really is helping....he is staying out of the way!
Our neighbor, Bob, came over to help move some rocks. Thanks Bob!
Grandma Penny bough the boys matching footed p.j.s. They are so cute and even have little monster faces on the feet. We had to get a few pictures of the boys since they looked so cute.
It is very hard these days to get a picture of Dillon with a normal smile!
Yep, Dillon is (finally) potty trained!!! We are almost at a full week in underware and only one accident! He defintly is a stuborn one and did not make it easy, but we made it. But don't be fooled though, it still takes a lot of coaxing and arguing to get him to go to the bathroom even when he needs to go but hopefully sooner or later he will figure out that the arguing just isn't worth it...or is that wishful thinking?
Jason has moved into the world of real food! He started with rice cereal at about 5 months and has moved onto applesauce, sweet potatoes (current favorite), carrots and bananas. He is a bit challenging to feed because he is always steeling your spoon. I literaly have 3 spoons handy when feeding him; one for him to have, one to feed him with, and another on standby as one always get dropped. He is also so much messier to feed than Dillon was, Jason manages to get food everywhere! Today I would feed him a spoonful and then he'd blow raspberries and food would come flying back out! At least he's cute while he's doing it!
Getting ready, bring on the rice cereal.
First bite...."not sure what this stuff is of if I like it!"
"OK, I guess it tastes good!"
Ready for more
I think he enjoyed his first meal!
The empty bowls are fun to play with.
Applesauce was not a favorite and still isn't! I thought everyone liked applesauce.
Well somehow 6 months have gone by! Jason is defintly changing and is no longer a baby baby. We went to his 6 month doctor visit and he is 22.4 pounds and 29 inches long (almost wearing 12 month clothing), definetly in the 95th percentile! Needless to say he is healthy!! His two bottom teeth that came in a while ago went back under the gums and he is working on them again, but this time he is a bit cranky. Jason is almost sitting up but he still topples over pretty quickly. He is really good at rolling over and can roll and roll until he gets to what he wants. He is also getting up on all fours and rocking back and forth....crawling will be next! Not sure I am ready for that. He isn't so easy to put to sleep anymore but I am hoping that once the teeth come through it become a bit easier again. He still loves to 'talk' and blow raspberries.
Determined to reach the toy!
He has found his feet and loves to play with them, espically when we are changing his diapers...makes it a bit challenging!
Roll and rolled until he made it to the DVD player to attempt to push buttons! He also loves the remote control. If he sees it and then you move it to hid it he looks around for it. What is it with boys and buttons?
Lounging in his Bumbo seat.
He pulls himself forward in the highchair really well.
He now rolls over in his sleep sometimes.
When I set Jason down it was on the play mat and me moved all the way over to where he is in this picture. He eventually moved even farther almost under the table.
