It's Been a While......
It's been a while since I've updated the blog. That is because Dillon and I have been sick. It's been two weeks now and we are almost over it but still have runny noses. Art never really got sick, lucky guy. Both mom and dad are sick too, were quite a group!
So we haven't been up to much, but I thought I'd give a little update about Dillon. For some reason I am having trouble posting picture today so I'll try later and post a few pictures.
Dillon is still quite the talker! Here are some phrases he says often now:
"Uh oh, what happened mama?" He says this A LOT!! It is actually driving me a little nutty. I think it must be his equivalent to why. Unless that question is still coming in which case I'm probably headed for the crazy house!
"Sounds good"
"Why not." He is basically saying "sure", it's pretty cute.
"I need that!!" He also says this a lot and apparently he needs everything! We are trying to teach him to say " I want that" or "I would like that" but so far neither is sticking.
And just the other day he said "oh crap" when he couldn't get something to fit where he wanted it to. I am just glad that it was "oh crap" and not something else!!!
He has also taken to sleeping with no pants or pajamas on. Every nap time he takes his socks and pants off after I have put him down and every evening after Art has put him down he takes his pajamas off, which leaves him in just a diaper. I am not sure what the deal is. Lately he has attempted to put a blanket on himself but it doesn't usually cover much. I put his pajamas back on when I check on him before I go to bed but they are almost always off again when I get him out of bed in the morning. Art says he remembers at a young age not liking to wear pajamas so maybe like father, like son? I looked on-line to see what other mothers are saying. Most of the other kids take their pajamas off and their diapers, which can lead to a big mess. So I guess I should consider myself lucky. One suggestion was to cut the feet off the pajamas and put them on backwards to they can't get to the zipper, but my guess would be that Dillon would find a way. Who knows maybe in a few weeks it will be boring to him and he'll keep his pajamas on.
