Getting into the Holiday Spirit

We went and cut down our Christmas tree earlier this week. It was a cold and wet day, but since it was midweek we had the whole tree farm to ourselves. Dillon had fun walking around but when he fell he wasn't sure what to make of the dirt on his hands. However, I am going to guess that he will quicky out grow that phase.

Art and I decorated the tree after Dillon went to bed last night. This morning he wasn't too sure what to make of everything. He was more interested in Millie's toys that were temporarily within his reach. There is an ornament down low that is his and plays music, which he thought was great.

Constant Motion!!!!!

At fifteen months (can you believe it!) Dillon is in a constant state of motion. While he can't quite run yet, he is already a very fast walker (he can beat me down the hallway!). Something new -- he has learned to climb. His loves to climb on the table we put in front of the T.V. (to keep him away from the T.V.). That defense failed. Not sure what the next line of defense will be, maybe put the T.V. on the ceiling, but mister smarty pants might still figure out how to get to it.

Dillon has his 15 month check up next week so it will be interesting to see how tall he has gotten. He is the youngest in his preschool class but not the shortest by far. He is still staying on the skinny side, but with all his moving around I'm surprised he's not skin and bones.

Dillon is doing really well with swimming. In our last class the kids got to go down a slide into the water. The parents job was to not grab them right away and wait (a second or two, which seemed like forever) and see if they knew to swim upwards. Dillon swam right to the top and came up with the ever present smile on his face.

Here are some cute pictures we've taken recently:

Dillon has a cold, again. The one good thing about him being sick is that he'll actually snuggle up with you. I will admit that phase went away way too quickly!

Happy Thanksgiving

We had a nice Thanksgiving over in Bremerton. Gram bought Dillon a cool new toy; a Radio Flyer rocket ship. The best part was the seat lifted up and he could put stuff inside. That occupied him for several minutes one evening.

We put up chairs to try and keep Dillon in the living room....yeah that worked really well!

While Art and I were packing the car up to leave we put Dillon in his play pen. I could hear him making noise but it was nothing unusual. I guess he was ready to get going because he started dragging the play pen with him!

Love those Hats!

Just love this picture. He is so excited to have Daddy's hat on.

Baseball Star Already

Art and his sister, Cheryl, are Seattle Mariners season ticket holders. During the year, the Mariners do special things for season ticket holders, like being able to walk onto the field. So Cheryl, her husband Brian and 3-year old Gage, along with our family got to go onto the field and take pictures at second base. We also got to tour the visitors clubhouse, sit in the dugout and the press room. Not sure who had more fun, Dillon or Art.

Left alone......

Dillon now plays in his room by himself from time to time (with a gate at the door). This particular time he had a little bit too much fun emptying all his drawers . . .
