Happy Halloween

It is safe to go back in the water now that the cutest shark ever is tucked safely into bed.

Dillon was a shark for his second Halloween. He looked so cute!! He wasn't fond of the head piece, as he hates hats, but he tolerated it pretty well. We didn't trick-or-treat in our neighborhood but we did go into Art's work for a bit. Dillon even managed to score some candy, but this year mom and dad will have to help him eat it.

Ok mom, I'm ready to get this thing off!

Almost Halloween

The other morning we had our first frost and the sun was shinning very brightly low in the sky. It was a prefect set up to be able to see all the spider webs that are in all the trees. Seems like there are more spider webs than ever this year.

Having Fun

Dillon is fascinated with the the keyboard for the computer. We, of course, have a spare keyboard and got it out for Dillon to use. He thought it was so much fun and had the biggest grin on his face because he got to bang on it like mommy and daddy.

It is Saturday and you know what that means, Husky Football. Dillon is dressed in his finest purple outfit. Before daddy went to the game he let Dillon try his hat on.

Dillon was playing in his room.....very quietly. He had turned the CD player on, got a book and sat down in the corner to read. He definitely likes his quiet alone time. Wonder if that will continue?

We've had some sunny days recently, some warm too (70 degrees!). So Dillon has been playing outside for a bit on those dry days. We took his truck outside to push around. He has lots of fun looking at rocks, pine cones, and pushing the truck until it stops.

While I was cooking dinner the other night Dillon got into my towel/apron drawer. He was having fun with the apron so I put it on him. Then he went over to my cookbooks and pulled one of the shelf to carry around and look at. He's so cute!

Then he figured out he could play peek-a-boo with the apron!

Picking out Pumpkins

Last Sunday was a nice sunny and warm day. Towards the end of the day we decided to find a pumpkin patch to go get some pumpkins. Glad we went when we did because since then its been rainy and windy every day.

Dillon liked looking at the pumpkins, weeds, and especially the people.

There was a sign to poke your head through...

There were also animals to look at.

Update on Dillon

Its been a while since I've updated you on how Dillon's doing. He's 13 and half months old now. He has three teeth coming in! The one on the bottom is finally coming in, so now he'll have his 4 front top and 4 bottom teeth. He is also getting two top molars, one on each side. They don't seem to really bother him; which makes mom happy. Dillon loves giving mommy and daddy kisses and hugs. He knows what so many words mean. He knows where his head and feet are and can bring you a book to read when you ask him. Who knows what else he already knows and we just haven't asked the right question to find out!!

13 months old......its hard to stand still for a picture these days!!

He is a walking machine now. It only took a few weeks of walking like a drunken sailor to get the hang of it. Can't believe he is actually walking!! He can also stand up from the floor, its so funny to watch him bend completely in half. Here are a few pictures where I tried to capture the walking.
We started preschool up again. He is in a class with about 20 other one-year-olds. He is one of the youngest in the class (the age cut off date was Aug. 30). Part of the class was parent ed and the kids can stay in the room or leave. Today Dillon played with books for a while and then he left the room!!! I don't think he has ever wandered off before, it was so strange to not be able to see his every move. I had to keep checking on him because he wouldn't check on me. But I am guessing this is just the beginning of him wanting to be away from me. At least I'll always have this picture to know that he does love being with me. :)

Fun at the Ocean...Again

We took another trip to Ocean Shores a few weeks ago. This time we went with Aunt Cheryl and cousin Gage. It turned out to be a beautiful sunny weekend. Perfect for going to the beach. Dillon had fun playing with his cousin. It was fun to watch the two interact; a 3-year-old and a 1-year-old definitely have different mind sets!

Here are some pictures at the beach.

Take me back towards the water mommy!
Gage having some fun in the waves.

While at the ocean Great Uncle Ray, Great Aunt Karlene, Second Cousin Kris, Gram and Grandpa came to visit. Dillon had fun showing off his walking skills and playing with the jumping music frog.

Everyone had fun in the warm pool.
