Teeth, Teeth and More Teeth

Just a quick update.....Dillon cut three of the four top front teeth this week. Pretty much one every other day. Gram has great timing as she was over the last week Dillon cut his bottom two teeth. The fourth (and very front) tooth should be in in another day or two. Dillon was a trooper and was able to pretty much keep the sleep patterns that we worked so hard on over the past month in place. Can't believe he's got a set of choppers, he looks lick such a big boy! Once we can get a picture (should be fun trying!) we'll post it.

Picnic at the Park

Today was a beautiful day so we had lunch at the local park. The sun was filtered but still nice and warm; which was perfect.
Dillon didn't want to keep his hat on; it was much better suited for eating.
Dillon isn't crawling yet (although it's probably only a matter of days), but he still can get around pretty quickly. Once he discovered the grass that was all he wanted to look at (and eat). Luckily I don't think any blades made into his mouth but a little patch did get mowed courtesy of Dillon.

Today was Dillon's 9 month birthday. He goes in for his 9 month check up in week and a half then we'll know for sure just how strong and healthy he really is. But if guessing he's at least 23 pounds. (As you can see he's not as smiley as usual, all he wanted to do was fall forward and look over the end of the chair....not a good plan in a chair that rocks!)

Gram was over for the week and we took her to swimming lessons. Good timing too because it was time for both Dillon and mom to go under water (so Gram took pictures)!! If you know Joelle at all you know that she rarely goes under water, in fact she can't remember the last time she did. All went well and only mom swallowed a bit of water....out of practice apparently. (we are in the center of the picture right behind the lady's head.)

First Mother's Day

Summertime....is almost here.

We have had some very nice days in the Northwest recently. Just yesterday it was over 80 degrees! Since it has been so nice we've started the BBQ back up and moved dinner to the deck.

We also broke out the muscle shirt...show those muscles off Dillon!

Cool Hair!

Mom couldn't resist styling Dillon's hair into a mow hawk; which then curled over. Has there ever been a cuter mow hawk?

Fun with Cherrios

I don't think these picutures even need a caption....other than too cute!

Swimming Lessons

Dillon has been enjoying his swimming lessons. He has gone underwater a few times now. The first time he was not to sure what to make of it. He was looking at mom as if to ask "what just happened and was it supposed to happen". Of course he was reassured with lots of smiles and kisses and yes, that was supposed to happen. We have also been learning to back float, which is hard to teach a baby who only wants to sit up. The classes have been fun for both mom and Dillon, something that we will definitely continue.

(Sorry the pictures are a bit blurry, he just moves to fast for us!).

Gone Fishing.....

Well we really didn't go fishing, but we did go to the ocean again. This time we brought along Gram and Grandpa Berry. We had a beautiful weekend, a bit on the windy side, but very sunny. Dillon did really well during the car rides. He did a fair amount of sleeping in the car, but we did need to stop and stretch our legs a few times.

While at the ocean Dillon tried to pull him self up on the coffee table. He didn't make it up nor did he hit his mouth on the table (which mom was obviously worried about). He did like standing at the table once mom stood him up. And as you can see he is always a ham for the camera.

8 Months Old

This picture was taken on Dillon's 8 month birthday. Can't believe he's already 8 1/2 months old. He is a very happy baby as the pictures show. He loves attention and prefers to be the center of attention at all times........could we be in trouble in the years to come?!

He is now sleeping through the night!!! Yes, you read correctly..... sleeping through the night. Mom thought it might never happen, but with some help it has. We finally got to a point where Dillon was in need of some sleep training. He needed to figure out how to go back to sleep on his own. The first two nights it took him a half an hour and he was back to sleep, much short than mom was prepared for. The following nights it was 5 to 10 minutes and then back to sleep with out any help from mom or dad. By the end of the week Dillon was sleeping from 7 p.m. through to 6 a.m.!! Now if only we could get him to sleep in til 7 a.m. but hey, beggars can't be choosers right?

Two Front Teeth

Dillon got his two bottom front teeth in within days of one another. It took a while before a picture could be taken of them. Dillon can be strong willed when he wants to be! He is now working on the top front four teeth. Mom hopes that they don't hurt as much as the bottom two.
